A Celebration of Mathematical Relativity in Miami

The conference will be in honor of

Greg Galloway

on the occasion of his 70th birthday.

The program aims to gather together leading experts on various aspects of Mathematical Relativity and related areas of Geometric Analysis to discuss recent advances and new research directions in these areas.

All are welcome to the fest. Graduate students and young researchers are especially encouraged to attend.

Special Events

There will be a banquet dinner at the Fontana Restaurant in the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 5:30pm. The cost is $45 ($25 for graduate students) to be paid on Friday morning during registration at the conference. Please indicate if you are attending the banquet on the registration form.


Travel Support

This conference is sponsored by the Department of Mathematics, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the Office of the Vice Provost for Research at the University of Miami. A proposal to the NSF for participant support has been recommended for funding. Due to limited funding, we may only be able to provide partial support to participants for travel and conference expenses, with priority given to graduate students, recent Ph.D's and under-represented minorities. If you would like to apply for support, please register and request financial support using the online registration form before November 30.


Location

The plenary talks will take place at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables in the Prado meeting room. The short talk session will be held in Ungar Room 402, the University of Miami, on Sunday afternoon, December 16.
